Master Brandon Oliveira
Master Brandon started his martial arts career in his early teens. Originally studying for a number of years in both Shito-Ryu & Shotokan Karate styles, he one day drove past the original USWC Tigard location. With a banner that read "Olympic Coach" - he knew at that moment he was destined to study Taekwondo and make it to the Olympic Games.
Training under Chief Grandmaster JK Shin and his son, Chief Master Rick Shin - Master Oliveira studied rigorously and received his 1st degree black belt in 1996. Shortly after, he agreed to help open a USWC Headquarters school located in Beaverton, OR with Chief Master Rick Shin. With a passion for teaching, he went on to teach in San Diego, CA - returning home in 2006, assisting at the USWC Sherwood school. He has since continued with his training and currently holds the rank of 5th Dan. Throughout his martial arts career, Master Oliveira has won numerous local, state, and regional championships. Leaving the competition scene in 1997 undefeated, he came out of retirement in 2011 to win the "Triple Crown" - winning the Gold in Forms, Board Breaking, and Sparring divisions.
Ms. Anna trained under Chief Master Shin at the original USWC-Tigard school, then transferred to the Beaverton HQ. She has trained alongside Master Oliveira for many years and assists with school operations. Ms. Anna is also an assistant instructor, focusing on Core/Cardio Conditioning. Currently, she holds a 1st degree black belt (Kukkiwon).
